The Beatitudes

Day VI

Today we will strengthen again our faith by looking at our reward in eternity. We are always reminded that this life on earth is just too short compared to the life after. Our hardship in this fallen state would be our test for the everlasting reward we would get together with Jesus. We should be glad in our challenges for we are blessed by God. This is the scripture that would give us the confidence to Thank and Praise our Lord in times of troubles.

Matthew 5



 1 When he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain. After he sat down his disciples came to him. 2 Then he began to teach them by saying: 
      3 ​​​​​​​“Blessed1 are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. 
      4 ​​​​​​​“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.        
      5 ​​​​​​​“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.  
      6 ​​​​​​​“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.  
      7 ​​​​​​​“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 
      8 ​​​​​​​“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.  
      9 ​​​​​​​“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God. 
     10 ​​​​​​​“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.  
     11 ​​​​​​​“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me.  
     12 ​​​​​​​Rejoice and be glad because your reward is great in heaven, for they persecuted the prophets before you in the same way.  

Amen! Let the scriptures speak to us and give us confidence to face our challenges. Let us remember our Lord Jesus Christ who suffered so much for he know the end our be great reward. Let us armor ourselves with endurance that our reward is in heaven. Amen!
