Day XLI
Brothers and Sisters you may think that you may be the worst person that do not deserve forgiveness and grace of our God. I believe that everyone of us would go to this idea and we might not able to think WHY? It has been said "everything happens for a reason". Sometimes our worst experiences including ourselves, our personality is being used by God for Good.
In the bible there was this person who was considered once enemy of God because of his works. He persecute people who have faith in Jesus and does blasphemy. Until one time God called him for his purpose - because of his personality he was able to preach effectively and turn thousands of people to believe in Jesus. His name is Saul also known as Paul.
In his letter to Timothy he pronounced the grace given to him despite his sins. May his story be our testimony that ANYONE deserves grace from God. God is so great that he even send his only Son to die for me and for YOU. May Paul's testimony gives us confidence that our being is prepared to be used by God. We just need to admit and surrender ourselves to God for his purpose.
1 Timothy 1
12 I am grateful to the one who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he considered me faithful in putting me into ministry, 13 even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief, 14 and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus. 15 This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” – and I am the worst of them! 16 But here is why I was treated with mercy: so that in me as the worst, Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life. 17 Now to the eternal king, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever!3 Amen.
Like Paul may we be used by God to demonstrate the Greatness of our Lord to everyone. Amen
