The Prayers of Faith

Day LXI

Today is an exploration of the word Prayer. What are the things that you prayed? Wish? Forgiveness? Asking for Help? Protection?

Well in today's teaching Apostle James reminded us about how we do pray.

James 5


 13 Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praises. 14 Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick and the Lord will raise him up – and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness. 17 Elijah was a human being like us, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain and there was no rain on the land for three years and six months! 18 Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land sprouted with a harvest.  

My dear brothers and sisters prayer is one or I can say the ONLY powerful tool we can have to live. Our Faith is done by prayer. When we suffer we do pray for help - that God may give us peace of mind and make things better. When we are sick - we prayed for healing. When we are happy - we pray praises. When your in doubt you pray for wisdom. When we are lost we pray for guidance.

Have you tried to pray? Or never? How do you pray? Do you read prayer manuscript because you know it will help you? Or you memorized a prayer and recite it when you need to?

God teaches us how to pray - just like The Our Father prayer. But how do we pray? Do we recite it just for us to say every word in it? May it not be!

Dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters God wants our heart in prayer and our soul in it. How do we do it, pray what you feel, pray whats in side you. When you feel happy sing praises and pray for thankfulness. When you feel sad say it, when your angry tell it to God. God has feelings too he listens to our hearts and wanted HONEST PRAYERS from us. Genuine prayer comes from our honest heartfelt prayers. If you wanted to say the prayer you memorized please feel every word in it. Our prayer is powerful and let us make it holy because we pray to our Holy Father.
